Even though the gate to the university carries the name ‘Muhammadu Buhari University of Transportation’, the officially recognised name of the University University is Federal University of Transportation, Daura.
2. The visitor to the university is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who was represented by the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, while Adeoye Adeleye, the Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Transportation was a Guest of Honour at the matriculation of the maiden set of students enrolled for study at the University.
Dr. Mercy Ilori, the Director, Transport Planning and Coordination in the Federal Ministry of Transportation, represents the Ministry on the Governing Council of the University.
